For the fourth time, Kiwanis International is teaming up with Kiwanis partner Landscape Structures to give one Kiwanis club US$25,000 of playground equipment. The Legacy of Play Contest celebrates our shared beliefs that investing in your community through legacy signature projects is important to the success of a Kiwanis club. Plus, Landscape Structures' emphasis on inclusive play is also important to Kiwanis because it highlights our goal to bring play to all children.
It's easy to enter! Between April 13 and May 14, simply submit your club's playground proposal on the Legacy of Play Contest tab on Kiwanis International's Facebook page, then ask for support via online voting starting May 16. The 10 submissions with the highest number of votes by noon EDT on May 31 will become finalists. A panel of judges will select the winning club, which will receive US$25,000 in playground equipment to be installed in conjunction with the club's 2018 Kiwanis One Day plans. Read the official contest rules.
Follow Kiwanis International's Facebook page for more details. Meanwhile, think about that playground your club is dreaming to build and begin gathering materials to submit your project today!

Additional playground resources
- Dr Pepper Snapple & KaBOOM! have teamed up to offer $15,000 grants to be used toward purchasing playground equipment. Grantees will lead their community through a self-guided planning process, using the $15,000 grant towards the total cost of playground equipment and assembling the playground using the KaBOOM! community-build model. Grantees have up to one year to build the playground and will have the support of a remote KaBOOM! Grants Manager and an onsite Certified Playground Installer. Learn more about the community build model in the Build a Playground Toolkit.
